            Sub: Quotation for procurement of Laser Jet Printers

Dear Sir,

            Sealed quotations are invited for the supply of the under mentioned stores as per terms and conditions given below. The quotations should be sent to the Deputy Director General of Meteorology, Regional Meteorological centre 50, college Road Chennai-600006 in a sealed cover by post only(not by fax or e-mail).

Procurement of Laser Jet Printers.

           The quotations will be received upto 1500 hrs. on  01.09.2008  and will be opened thereafter at 1530 hrs.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rates should be quoted separately against each item based on F.O.R.  Destination free delivery at Regional Meteorological office, Chennai.  Full particulars of stores viz.brand,resolution should be clearly mentioned wherever necessary.  The quotations should remain open for acceptance for a minimum period of 90 days.

  1. Rates of sales tax, excise duty or any other if leviable, should also be clearly mentioned in the quotation.  No such charge will be paid by this office if not mentioned in the quotation.
  2. All the stores delivered  should have one  year warranty and extended comprehensive warranty period for 2 years, which includes free service and free spare replacements etc., at all the meteorological offices where the stores are to be delivered and installed (on site warranty)
  3. Stores are to be delivered within a reasonable time preferably executed within a month from the date of issue of supply order unless otherwise stated, the quotation should clearly indicate their date of firm delivery and proper installation of the computers at the expected places should be done at the cost of the tenderer.
  4. Acceptance of supply order should be confirmed within 7 days of receipt of the same.  Otherwise this office reserves the right to cancel the order without assigning any reason. The liability resulting for this cancellation will rest on you.
  5. Deputy Director General of Meteorology, RMC Chennai reserves the right to reject or accept any quotation without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  6. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Deputy Director General of Meteorology, RMC Chennai will be final and binding to all in general.
  7. Payment will be made after the stores are delivered at the specified location and after satisfactory installations of the same and also accepted in accordance with the existing Government procedure through the supplier’s bill.  All the efforts will be made to make payment within 30 days from the date of delivery of stores in good condition and after proper installation.  This office cannot accept any payment terms such as documents through Bond Advance payments etc.

1.   The individual units must confirm to the stated make/model/specification.

2.   Each unit must carry replacement warranty against manufacturing defects and    malfunctions.

3.   Supplier should ensure interoperability of the units when assembled and used as an integral unit.  To ensure this the supplier should assemble the above units as five desktop computers and render them operational with full functionality.
